Adelaide Hills Property Market Update – January 2026
The Highlights:
- Adelaide predicted to hit $1M this year – which will have flow-on effects in the Adelaide Hills
- Two major infrastructure projects in Mount Barker
- Nitschke welcomes three new team members
The Details:
The new year brings a fresh round of predictions for our local market – including Realestate.com’s big prediction that Adelaide’s median house price will hit $1 million.
Check out our predictions for the Adelaide Hills market in 2026.
Whether Adelaide hits $1M is heavily dependent on what interest rates do this year. But with uncertainty, there’s an opportunity for sellers right now. There’s less stock on the market than we’d usually see at the first part of the year, and great buyers looking.
We recommend every homeowner complete a free property appraisal at least once a year – with January the best time to do it. Organise your free property appraisal here.
A lot is happening in terms of infrastructure projects. There’s the roundabout upgrade at Wellington Road and the $150M Mount Barker-Verdun freeway interchange. We’ll keep you posted on all the projects happening here in the Hills.
Here at Nitschke, the team is growing, too. In the past month, we’ve welcomed three new team members:
- Jason Bailey, as a Sales Associate
- Amelia Poole into Property Management
- Amanda Lee into Operations
