Mount Barker Carols and Fireworks: December 5
This is one of the Adelaide Hills’ beloved Christmas events. It kicks off at 5pm, so get settled in early with your family and friends. -

Christmas floats, a fair and all the holiday fun. Don’t miss the holiday season in Stirling. -
Gathered Christmas Design Market, December 11-13
Hahndorf’s Gathered Christmas Market will transport you to Europe. Make a day of it, pick up some unique gifts by local artists, and peruse this charming pop-up. -
Handorf Christmas Village, December 12-14
The Main Street turns into a Christmas spectacular for three days (the Gathered Market is part of this big event). Check out the Christmas lights, market, Santa’s Hub, reindeer trail, gift wrapping station, and street performers. -
Lobethal Lights, December 12-22
This light show needs no introduction. It’s an Adelaide Hills community event at its finest. -
Lobethal Pageant, December 23
Time your trip to Lobethal with the town’s pageant on the Main Street. There’s no better town to celebrate Christmas than Lobey.
Local tip: On your way to the Lobethal, don’t miss stopping at Melba’s Chocolate Factory for some seasonal treats (or Christmas day supplies). Melba’s is open twilight hours and is hosting special activities in the lead-up to Christmas – including face painting, colouring competitions, games, and visits from Father Christmas.
