Next up is the emerging region of Uraidla, Summertown, and Piccadilly – an underrated, up-and-coming area of the Hills. 

Uraidla 

Greenhill Road cuts through Uraidla, making it an accessible Hills town. It’s a quirky little suburb full of Hills charm that connects to the foothills in about 12 minutes. Quieter than the popular suburbs like Stirling, Hahndorf and Mount Barker, Uraidla is quintessential Hills living. 

As of February 2026, Uraidla’s median house price is $1,239,000 – a 10.2% increase in the past year. Stirling’s estimated population is 581, making it a tight-knit community.

Summertown 

Summertown is three minutes away from Uraidla, along the Greenhill Road stretch to Adelaide. Expect the same country-eclectic vibe in Summertown, with mum and pop cellar doors, B&Bs, and gorgeous rolling hills. 

As of February 2026, Summertown’s median house price is $1,585,000 – up 17.6% in the past year. Summertown’s population is slightly higher than Uraidla at around 752.

Piccadilly 

Piccadilly is less than five minutes from Summertown, via Piccadilly Road that connects to the Crafers freeway interchange. It’s another small town with stunning scenic stretches.  

As of February 2026, Piccadilly’s median house price is $1,550,000down 21.5% in the past year. At its peak, Piccadilly median’s house price was $2.8 million in December 2024. 

Piccadilly’s population is even smaller than Uraidla at 405.
