Events & things to do in the Adelaide Hills this summer
There’s nothing like summer in the Adelaide Hills. It’s the season of the sauv blanc and backyard BBQs. The time to entertain and make the most of all the space you have (which isn’t always a given in the city suburbs).
Our entire team at Nitschke also lives in the Hills, so we’ll likely see you around town, enjoying the many experiences our region puts on this summer.

Mount Barker Carols and Fireworks: December 5
This is one of the Adelaide Hills’ beloved Christmas events. It kicks off at 5pm, so get settled in early with your family and friends. -
Stirling Christmas Pageant, December 6
Christmas floats, a fair and all the holiday fun. Don’t miss the holiday season in Stirling. -
Gathered Christmas Market, December 11-13
Hahndorf’s Gathered Christmas Market will transport you to Europe. Make a day of it, pick up some unique gifts by local artists, and peruse this charming pop-up. -
Lobethal Lights, December 12-22
This light show needs no introduction. It’s an Adelaide Hills community event at its finest. -
See the sunflowers at Atkins Farm, January 11-24
Head to Macclesfield to explore the new sunflower blooms. Get ready to pose in the field and pick flowers. -
Tour Down Under, January 18 & 22
On January 18, the Women’s Stage 2 will pass through Lobethal, Gumeracha and Kersbrook. On January 22, the Men’s Stage 2 will finish in Uraidla and the Adelaide Hills Council is putting on music, food and entertainment to celebrate the cyclists. -
All British Day, February 22
If you have British roots or appreciate historic vehicles, head to Echunga Oval for the All British Day. Dads and grandads will love this.
