Winter events in the Adelaide Hills (2026)
When it comes to lifestyle, nowhere does it better than the Adelaide Hills. Our region has a year-round events calendar that lends to each special season.
With winter coming up, there’s still plenty to do across the Adelaide Hills. It’s that quintessential time of year that the Hills does so well – fireplaces, red wine, and cute jumpers.
Here’s what’s coming up in the next few weeks.
Boomerang painting workshop, June 1
Head to the Mount Barker Library for a children’s boomerang painting workshop with Dave Booth. It’s educational, hands-on, and free.
Gin Fest, June 6
Love gin and dancing? Don’t miss Gin Fest at Glen Ewin Estate.
Porchetta & Pinot: June 7
Head to Golding Wines on the June long weekend for juicy porchetta, pinot, live music, and games. It doesn’t get more Hills than this.
Uraidla Market: June 21
Visit this adorable town and its new market location at the Show Hall, Uraidla Oval. Pick up produce, plants, crafts, and local delights.
Pizza night at Route 9 Distillery, July 3
Enjoy stone oven pizzas for just $15 in a cool distillery you might not have been to before.
Winter Reds Festival: July 24-26
This is one of the most beloved winter events in the Adelaide Hills. It pays homage to hundreds of local producers and artists. Think live music, DJs, fire pits, mulled wine, food, and all the tastings you can handle.
Winter is a fun excuse to book a cosy B&B weekend away, have a hearty pub meal in a new town or cosy up at a cellar door for the afternoon.
If you’re feeling like a city adventure, head down the hill during Illuminate Adelaide, from July 1-19.
We’re spoiled for choice, here in the Hills, and close by.
We’ll keep you up to date on what’s happenings in the Hills – make sure you’re on our list.
