Adelaide Hills

5 unmissable Adelaide Hills events that’ll keep your warm this winter.

While scraping ice off your car window is part of your morning winter tradition, don’t let Mother Nature dictate how you enjoy this wonderful town of ours. It’s all part of Adelaide Hills property ownership and the lifestyle.

Just before you write off winter, counting down the days to white wine deck sessions, add these events to your calendar.

Invest in your lifestyle, not just property

1. Rustle Up, this weekend

How does two days of mushroom foraging sound to you? Led by “The Wild Food Huntress”, you’ll depart from Hahndorf’s, The Haus, and onto some of the most scenic Hills locations. Then, return back to the restaurant to fill your hungry bellies with a mushroom dinner, fungi pizza and risotto, plus local Pinot Noir. This is the ULTIMATE foodie experience.

2. Sea & Vines, in June

Our Fleurieu Peninsula friends (and even you, in the Hills), head down to McLaren Vale, wine and culinary central, for Sea & Vines Festival. Get ready for a weekend of gastronomic delights, as we celebrate local wine, tastings, live music, and good company.

3. Winter Reds, in July

No winter get-together would be complete without red wine… and leave it to the Hills to create a festival in homage of our favourite drop. Throw on your favourite cardigan, round up your besties and peruse the 30+ wineries in the Adelaide Hills. Expect great wine, awesome food to match and lively entertainment that’ll bring you into the star-lit night.

4. Circus Rio, in July

Let’s mix up this list (a little) with a whole-family event, marvelling at this magic of Circus Rio. The outlandish tricks will leave you (and the kids), speechless. Get your tickets now before it sells out.

5. Warm & Toasty Winter Yoga, in August

But there’s more to do in wineries than just drink wine. Golding Wines in Lobethal is hosting a yin yoga event, for a full-body experience. Enjoy that post-vinyasa glass of wine and delectable supper, guilt-free.  Grab your tickets here.

When the wine is as good as we grow it, it’s no wonder some of the best activities involve a glass of Pinot or Savvy B. Keep your eyes out for Nitschke team of real estate agents and property managers at these events.
