Winter events in the Adelaide Hills (why we love this region)

There’s a lot going on this winter in the Adelaide Hills. Our region is home to some of the best food and wine weekends, maker markets, and local live music.
Here’s what’s happening in the Hills in the next few weeks.

July:

If you love red wine, you don’t want to miss this annual showcase of our best drops.

Tastings, DJs, wood fired pizza, fire pits and art installations – what a way to warm up winter. Jauma is part of the Winter Reds Festival, but deserving of its own mention.

Beerenberg Farm isn’t just famous for its strawberries. This winter, it’s dishing up Sunday roast sessions.

August:

Want to learn how to make cheese from one of the world’s best and local favourite? A 25-year cheesemaker from Udder Delights will host a hands-on culinary workshop.

While we do cheese and wine well here in the Hills, you can also ‘travel’ to far flung places through our food. This Iranian Food Journey event is for the adventurous eaters.

Art lovers, August is your month.

September:

Book in early to treat your dad to a day out at Cobb’s Estate in Oakbank.

For history buffs who love to learn about the Hills, don’t miss this event. Hahndorf’s fascinating German settler past and colonial era will be spotlighted in this documentary viewing.

Stirling’s beloved market kicks off at the end of September. There’s no better way to enjoy Sundays than in Stirling.
